LB love the picture of your magnolia, it’s beautiful. I used to wear magnolia perfume when I was younger it has a lovely scent. Chive and Hazel I tried earlier to get on gw but without success but thankfully it worked this time, those gremlins. NannyBeach I hope you feel better in the not too distant future. These are challenging times. A cooler day today but sunny nonetheless. It was lovely to talk to my sister today who is finding the lockdown restrictive but sensible. Hopefully there will be some good news after the three week continuation but it could take a good deal longer. Hang in there everyone.
Afties all. SGL, the man who called had a business flyer - I suppose that was the nearest to identity proof he had. I have to say it is not unusual round here for people to call - especially those who say that they are tree specialists. I think that the monstrous Leylandii in my neighbour's front garden acts like a beacon to them. I'm glad you managed to get the poorly plant rescued. What is it?
Sorry to hear about the rheumatism Hazel, perhaps that was what had affected your finger the other day. Chive, you did well there. bacopa and lobelia will make a lovely combination. Some of my tomatoes are through and my cosmos have all popped up too. Nature is marvellous!
Rosie, I can really empathise with broadband that lets you down - look at me and VM!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Lily's TV did a sterling job today and the breeze has done the rest. I think I am finished for today - might have a bit of tidying up in the garden to do and that is it for this week. Is any one losing track of the days - like me? One of our Quiz team members reminded me today that the schools go back on Monday. Easter holidays are over. She has been going in teaching the children of key workers. Her Head has asked her to delay her retirement until Christmas - she was finishing at the end of this school year (August 31st) but with the Covid-19 troubles, no advertisements, interviews etc. for her replacement have been possible. She is going to do that as her husband is retiring at Christmas too. He doesn't teach though. At least they will finish together and will be able, hopefully, to enjoy retirement.

Evening - meant to say hello this morning but forgot to write anything - duh!
Rosie - the GW forum has been playing up for me too. Keeps signing me out and then doesn't always like the password I use. Giving it 30 minutes to have a word with itself usually sorts things out.
Hazel - sorry you've have some aches and pains. Used to have patients with rheumatism and some of them really struggled at times - can be very painful.
SGL and Chive - I really can't believe how hard and dry the ground is bearing in mind it's only about 6 weeks since we had all the flooding. Bits of my garden have set like concrete already. Not sure that we'll get any rain tonight either - usually passes on by.
LB - lovely coloured magnolia. 🙂 You're definitely not the only person losing track of the days - I've had a few weird conversations really where neither of us could quite work out what day it was.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Evening all! LB, I suppose I'm a bit wary of people knocking on doors. We back onto farmland and woods. Living in a close and our road leading to more woods it's rather away from it all. We belong to Neighbourhood watch. 🙄👀👀 The plant is a Penstremon (spelling) could be the pink one.....can't remember. But hopefully I've saved it by moving it from the very front border 🤞🤞
It's gone very cold and it's drizzling. Off to get my meal ready 🙋♀️
I am always quite hesitant SGL but where my house is there are only 6 houses in the Crescent and all our front doors (which are actually on the sides of our houses) are very visible. We have a neighbourhood watch scheme too.
I've just brought in all the cloth things and by golly SGL I have to agree with you in that it is freezing outside. Not raining here as yet though. I'm glad to be in, where its warm. Looking forward to Gardeners World tonight though I will miss Adam. Penstemons are very pretty.

Good evening all. I just want you a good night and sleep well. It was beautiful day and I used it to work on the land. At least everything is prepared and I can start planting next monday. I'm exhausted so see you all tomorrow.
Night night Ante. Will your cousin help you with the planting as well? I'm off as well. Goodnight all. I hope you all get a decent night's sleep. Sweet dreams.
