Good morning all, sunny morning so planning time in the garden. I have lots of lilies to pot up into new pots in front garden which is very sunny so hope they do well. They have come from the allotment but I need them under my eye so I can check for the dreaded lily beetle! We seem to get lots here and I do loathe them.
Seeds to sow and other bits and bobs too so looking forward to my favourite kind of day. Hope everyone has a good Sunday planned

Chive, that is marvellous. We all know that look on cats' faces.

Oh Ruby, so sorry to hear that. I hope that he rallies soon after a rest. Thinking about you both. I've inspected the front garden (still a bit cool despite the sunshine) and all is well. The big clover plants I put into the garden last week have had their leaves nibbled a bit but as my garden is specifically for the wildlife I am not complaining. I've got more clover - both red and white to put out when they get a bit bigger. Off to clean the birdbath now and fill it with fresh water. The blackbirds will be missing their washing. See you all later.

So sorry to hear what happened this morning with your OH Rubee. Take care both of you.
Good quiz LB, ooh so close with questions 2. Thought 22 and then plus bankers box🙁
    Haha, that cats  face 😂
Already have 2 loads of washing on the line, sunny with a gentle breeze. Should dry in no time.
Off for a quick cuppa before lunch.

Thank you Lily . These episodes happen regularly , falling makes them traumatic for him .
Chive I hope your son feels better soon .

Afternoon all. Isn't it another glorious day? An hour or so of unmentionables this morning and then I've been sorting out plants to put in the freshly weeded front border. Hot and dry out there so Mexican Daisies, sedums and poppies are amongst the mix. Also some really tough geraniums that are thugs in the more benign back border.

Rubee - I do hope your OH is feeling a little better this afternoon. These blackouts are both worrying and disturbing for both of you. Best wishes to you both. x

Chive - I hope your son is ok. I know 6 people (2 friends and 4 friends of friends) who have definitely had the virus. They were all laid up with it but they all made a full and fairly speedy recovery. Fingers crossed he's the same.

Hazel - good to hear the steroids help your rheumatics.

Pansy - nice to 'see' you - daft as ever😁

LB - the blackbirds are very busy around one of the denser shrubs at the back of the border and the robins are active in the hedge. Lovely knowing little homes are being built in both.

Heard the first cuckoo this morning and the buzzard was circling a neighbour's garden. Saw a pair of them riding the thermals on Friday - lovely😎
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
