Aww, @Chivetalking that's good news. Although tonsillitis can make you feel very poorly. Hope your son feels better soon. Rubee hope you're OH is feeling better. Good night everyone, hope you all get a good nights sleep. Sweet dreamsÂ
Morning all. There is nothing quite like that first cup of tea/coffee to kick start your day. Chive, hope your son is feeling more reassured this morning. I think it must be very scary for anyone who starts to feel the symptoms associated with coronavirus and, as in your son's case, an enormous relief when something else less sinister is diagnosed. Ruby, I hope your OH is feeling better this morning too.

What a wonderful gentleman. The utmost respect to him for his sterling efforts. Who knew how many people around the world would respond so wonderfully to his target.

Morning everyone .Chive I hope your son is feeling better soon . Oh is up and about a little bruised and sore but getting better .Keep safe everyone. Captain Tom , bless his heart .
Chive I hope your son feels better soon and that you get some helpful information. Â LB Captain Tom is indeed an inspiration and working so hard to raise the money. Â Well done Captain Tom. Â No doubt you enjoyed the Stones last night. Â Hazel youâve found the culprits in the c doves. Â Take care laying the concrete. Â Lily hope you and oh are okay.
I've been to the SM too. Had to queue for less than 5 mins and, when I got in, the shelves were well stocked. Managed to get everything I wanted including Bomba rice (for paella) and chicken thigh fillets which I haven't been able to get for 6 weeks. We use them all the time for curries, stir fries and other stuff so I've been rationing them for the last month. Was down to the last fillet so bought 2 pacs of 12 - there were loads - hurrah!Â
The only things which still seem to be in really short supply are rice and pasta but there are small stocks of limited types of both. Absolutely no flour whatsoever. Is everybody baking cakes or what? The flour mills are working overtime apparently.
Chive - best wishes for your son. It is starting to sound like virus symptoms if he has a temperature. Keep safe all of you x
Rubee - another easy day for you and OH. Good wishes to you too.
LB - Captain Tom is indeed an inspiration for us all. Such an uplifting story.Â
Sunny day here - although that stiff easterly is a tad cool. Think I'll go and weed the border inspired by Derek Jarman's beach garden after lunch. It's on the road verge so I'll probably get to say hello to a few walkers and horse riders. Be good to see some different facesđ
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Afternoon! It seems that today was SM shopping for few of us. I came back couple minutes ago. Everything is coming back slowly and I found also yeast. My plans for potato planting failed.  Outside is extremely windy and rather cold. It must wait till Wednesday.
Chive, finger crossed for your son. He will be well for sure.
Rubee, you and your OH just take a rest.Â
Captain Tom was also a news on our tv. He is proper example of old soldier, never give up.
Chive I once forgot to add flour to my cake mixture whilst I was talking. Â I realised rescued them from the oven, mixed the flour in, and the cake was fine. Â Wishing you the same success. Â Topbird it must have been a good feeling seeing the shelves stacked. Â Iâm glad you were able to get what you needed. Â LB hope youâve had a good day in the garden.
Afties all. I am glad to hear that all the SM trips went reasonably successfully and that the bare cupboards are stocked up once more. I hope that Wednesday proves to be a good day for potato planting Ante. I have been fairly busy today and am now finished. The sun may still be shining but that wind has got a definite icy bite to it. Chive, that bread episode reminded me of a not too distant experience I had. I have a bread maker and I decided to get some bread made from a mix I had in my cupboard. Got the mix and the necessary water measured out and switched on the machine. Two hours later after lovely smells were filling the kitchen, I opened the machine to reveal a loaf that would have made an excellent weapon of mass destruction if it had been shoved up a cannon. I checked the bag and discovered that the mix was 6 months out of date! Serves me right for not checking, but at the time I had a real giggle. You must let us know how your tear and share turned out. I hope that your son's sore throat is just that, at least his temperature has returned to normal which is a good sign. It must have been nice having a natter with your Mum too.
