I forgot to put something fairly essential into Christmas puddings one year. Can't quite remember what it was nowĀ - maybe the eggs which bind it all together.Ā I didn't realise until the puddings were all in their greased basins, double wrapped with neatly tied handles, steaming away and I came to clear up the worktop and found the missing ingredient.Ā
A few words were said. It definitely wasn't the brandy I'd missed - could never be quite that daft!
Final of Uni C tonight - not expecting to get many correct answers. Not even expecting to understand a lot of the questions!
Have you noticed that when Jazzer asks a maths question it is very obvious that 9 times out of 10 he knows all the words he's speaking but has no idea what they mean when put together as a question? He really stumbles over some of the questions! But art, history and literature he's in his element.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Evening everyone ,what a glorious day itās been . I have been repotting and planting .OH is doing much better . He has been sitting in the sun for a while. I sit in the shade if I sit down which is not very often .Chive itās good to hear that your sons temperature has gone down . I love Master Mind and Uni Challenge even though frequently I havenāt a clue what they are talking about . I remember being at one of my aunts for Sunday lunch ,she was an excellent cook .The lunch was ready except for the Yorkshire puds .When she opened the oven door the pud (which was made in one large container) had risen up through the bars of the shelf above and was pressing against the top of the oven .It took two people to take it out of the oven ,one holding the dish and the other supporting the upper shelf as it was pulled out . The pud and the upper shelf was placed on a large trivet in the centre of the dining table . Amongst much laughter my uncle did his best to carve it from the wire shelf . It tasted delicious ,even though the shapes were very bizarre.
Evening Ruby. Good news about your OH's progress. Nice that he had the sun to sit in too. I love your story about the Yorkshire pudding and I have to say it really made my mouth water. I think Yorkshire pudding is wonderful.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Amazed to have got a reasonable score on Uni C tonight - luck of the draw with the questions - but I wonāt miss LBās favourite contestants either. Really couldnāt decide who was the more irritatingš¤ Bread looks yum Chiveš Off to bed now. Night all.

Hello all. Another glorious start to a day. I hope your son is feeling improved this morning Chive. I was considering another garden day but when I woke this morning my right shoulder is giving me some serious grief. I'll just be sitting and bird watching I think. Its early yet though and I'll take a couple of paracetamol and see how I go on. I might just continue my Peter Robinson book.
