@Omori, I have summer songs. I had read about its growth habit that it doesn't form a nice well rounded shrub and can be floppy so planted in group of three close to each other DA style this spring and given support as well while planting.
It has been flowering well and blooms are orange and fragrant. Darker orange than lady emma but a bit coppery/salmon colour and not like super trouper which is true orange. Blooms turn a bit pinkish in hot weather when mature and about to be finished.
I love it. It is like Munstead wood, Young Lycidas and Golden Celebration where i like blooms so much that i don't mind growth habit.
Healthwise it has been good though i did give it lots of love and care. Watered regularly and fed once a month. I couldn't give it full sun location though.
So frustrating - it's rained nearly all day so can't take photos. However, Winchester Cathedral, Penelope and Eglantyne all having a good second flush. GJ, Margaret Merrill, Claire Austin and Royal William all have repeat blooms as well.
@Tack oops lol I won't be going to the Range tomorrow then. I think we're going to a couple of garden centres tomorrow and hopefully one of them will have something suitable.
@Nollie thanks. Mum husband sent me that photo yesterday and I told him no because it was so narrow. I just needed confirmation here and certainly don't want to have to repot once it's in.
@micmarg that's a lovely colour, what a great find.
@Daniel Rutherford lovely photos. Your lilies are wonderful. These are one of my husband's favourite plants.
We had a beautiful day here today. I potted up my Rhapsody in Blue, did some dead heading and then actually sat in the garden and read my book for a few hours. Was nice to just relax and listen to the birds and our little frog croaking.
Still blooming is A White Shade of Pale. This is by far one of my favourites. And this is a B&Q buy.
And my view this afternoon. So much better than it looked years ago when it was 3 walls of nothing but brambles and 30ft leylandii. Still a work in progress and lots I would change. There was a lovely big holly bush behind the deck which gave us total privacy from the houses behind and then a few months ago one of them cut the whole lot down hence the makeshift canvas
