  • Your garden still looks so summery @Tack, even on the dry days mine is looking distinctly autumnal (and it's raining again now). Lovely pictures everyone.

Welcome back @Katsa, your PJ is looking great. Sorry to hear you might be getting rid of Papworth Pride, has it not done well?  That was one I considered but I decided to try and grow Highgrove as a shrub instead in that space.

@poppyfield64, I have ordered a bare root Stephanie d'Ursel, but haven't seen anyone mention it on here before. It looked kind of sweet and it supposed to be scented so I thought I'd just go for it and hope for the best. I also considered the Lens rose Rosalita which to my eyes has similar colouring and another called Autumn Delight.

I get that here a lot @newbie77. Reds, purples, deep pinks all end up looking much the same when it’s sunny. That’s a nice bouquet though.

@Victoria Sponge I am looking forward to seeing your Stephanie d'Ursel next year. So many lovely roses and one can't have everything.
  • @Victoria Sponge I will look forward to seeing it too.  I may wait and see how you get on with it.  There was just something about it that I really liked plus it says it's rain tolerant.

Loving those pinks @newbie77.  We had rain overnight and rain and strong winds tomorrow so think I should bring some in too.
  • I get plenty of rain so I'll test it for you @poppyfield64 :)

That's lovely @newbie77, nice strong pinks even if they are not supposed to be the same.

Agreed @edhelka, I really wish I had more climber/rambler space.

thanks for lovely msgs. I love all pinks. It smells nice too. Rain started here from today and I am bringing in many roses to enjoy  :)

@Tack, i like your roses in pots. They all look so lush. I have almost run out of space in ground but getting many roses to enjoy/try in pots for next 2-3 years. I used to do that with dahlias and hostas but currently I am in rose phase.

Hi @Victoria Sponge! Im keeping Proper Job but considering getting rid of Papworth Pride. I don't like how the flowers are so floppy and then half the petals fall of. It's just not wowing me.

I've been looking at the Lens catalogue and so, so many are tempting me ...
