Makes you appreciate more the David Austin customer service and 5 year guarantee doesn’t it? PB only offer up to a year/no later than the end of July following dispatch, so in this case around 8 months and only then for complete failure providing it has been properly planted, cared for and watered. Lots of wriggle room there...

Yes must say I was very impressed with David Austin, I just sent in a photo of my LEH with a short description of the problem and they just immediately apologised for the state it was in and ordered me another.
@Nollie My super trouper is still doing great..i said I'd update you at the end of the season. Pic below is from today in Surrey..it had a short rest when it was very warm in August but otherwise has been flowering impressively. Even managed to get a cutting from it that's taken! I think I read you have one on order...I'm sure you wont be disappointed 😊
Thank you @WorcesterPark, very kind of you to remember and update me! It’s for my ‘oranges and lemons’ bed which currently has roses Julia Child (aka Absolutely Fabulous) and Lady Emma Hamilton so hopefully it will go well with those.
And thanks @Omori, I’m always so thrilled when a rose works well here, it’s always hit and miss what will thrive. I was worried the metal fence would burn the foliage but it seems to be ok, it has a bit of shelter from the honeysuckle hedge behind which must help.

No rose orders for me, although I’m still finding it interesting reading about other people’s. Could be tempted by any new releases though in March. Will wait and see.
I’ve ordered this lot though, as I’d been wanting to get Russell Pritchard and saw it had come back in stock.
Although I do have a new rose! Look what's suddenly appeared on my four month old cutting - been sat in a jar of water on the kitchen windowsill just as an experiment. Was very excited to see this!
Here is a Thomas a Becket rose that I've done from a cutting this year..I think its the first time I've produced a flower on a cutting taken in the same year...I normally cut off buds in first 18 months to encourage growth but couldn't resist leaving this one!
