Looking lush @Daniel Rutherford I just bought Mill on the Floss, good to know it needs support @Marlorena
  • Thankyou @Marlorena and @Omori. Yeah once it gets bigger I will look into support if need be. I have the the mill on the floss in the ground too and it’s finally starting to get going with new basal shoots this spring. Not been overly impressed so far but feel it has a certain charm especially with the flowers which are lovely.

@Marlorena I've had Marie Pavie in cart twice so far but never end up buying it.
@Nollie I am behind you but so far, the same experience with The Prince. I should have planted it in a pot. I bought it because I love colour of the blooms very much (more than other red/purple DAs).

James Veitch (I need to redo this photo when it's sunny, to perfect the focus, maybe with some water droplets and when the bud gets slightly bigger ;) see the aphid to get the size idea).

That one’s got the pink blobs too! Anyone know what those are actually called? Spent some time last night trying to google it but to no avail.

@Mr. Vine Eye    Glandular stipitates… it's the sweet sap in these glands that the aphids are after... as you can see in the photo above there on the right..

Clever clogs! I thought if anyone would, you’d know 😄

Just done a Claire Austin order, not used before. I’ve only ever ordered a Wisteria from Thompson & Morgan and roses from David Austin.

But the prices seemed fair compared to other sites and they’ve got stuff in stock! Seems unlikely that I’ll be visiting Burton Agnes Gardeners’ Fair this year so no bargains. There’s a few past recommendations from you in there Marlorena.

One of the Astrantias has the same name as my aunt. I’ll leave you to guess which one of them! 😁

Confession.... I'm not that clever... I asked someone who I thought would know and that's what they came up with..

I've been wanting plants from Claire Austin for some time, let us know what they're like... yes I have some of those already...
