Love this thread, even if I just spin through it for the photos. Here's my Ena Harkness. Best it's been since it was transferred from one location to another several years ago (original old tree collapsed). Lovely scent but stems can't support the weight of the flowers so droop.
I've just bought a new pot which has inside measurements (actual growing area) of 48cm wide and 36cm deep, 19" x 14", it falls slightly short of DA's minimum recommended size in the depth, but I'm hoping it will still be big enough to plant a Desdemona in. What do you think.
I wonder if anyone can advise me with a ‘rose-growing in a tricky situation’ challenge?!
I have just been admiring @Marlorena’s ZD ‘fedge’ and her gorgeous Blush Noisette on her Rose Notes thread, both of which has got me thinking. I have always fancied Blush Noisette as it’s meant to do well in hot climates, but never knew where to put it.
However, I do have a large honeysuckle fedge. The honeysuckle is vigorous but never flowers for some reason so I am experimenting with enlivening it a bit by growing a Climbing Iceberg in front of the fedge, in a gappy bit, but it is really struggling on the internal/north side of it - I guess it doesn’t get much light under even a holey hat of honeysuckle. I am wondering if BN would be more vigorous and better able to take on the dominant honeysuckle? Is there anything that would in the white/blush range?
Here is the fedge and the struggling Clg. Iceberg in the gappy bit:

Albertine as promised for your vicarious pleasure @Marlorena🙂
..you've caught me just in time...
...and how come your plant looks so healthy... when I had it, it wasn't the best for that... very lovely when well grown as you seem to have it...
.... @B3 don't feel outdone.. yours is in bloom first ...
