I like your orange rose @FlyDragon, always on the lookout for a good orange, which one is it?
I have lots of colour mixes, not always intentional but they just happen as things rarely come out in the colours I thought they would. My Oranges and Lemons border is more like Peaches and Cream 😆
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

I'm sorry Nollie, I don't know the name of it. I got it as a standard from the local garden centre a couple of years ago before I knew much about roses and didn't keep the label. I vaguely remember it may have had 'celebration' in the name, but can't be sure. It is lovely, and the flowers stay nice as they fade.
I'm very new to the forums altogether but I've been loving this rose thread and all your fabulous pictures. I have very few roses at the moment. I garden close to the sea and the sea air plus poor, dry sandy soil are tricky things to deal with. Quite a few have come and gone over the years but two out and flowering at the moment are 'Maigold' - new last year after we saw it in a public garden...
and 'Meg' who I've had for about ten years after seeing her at Sissinghurst. She's far too big for the fence she's on and my neighbours get most of her flowers but we just about manage.
That's all I have out for now but I'm planning a few purchases in the autumn and meantime look forward to all your terrific posts and photos. Thank you!
...and thank you @iaincd .. for joining in with your photos of quite lovely roses... I love that one of 'Meg' in particular.. please show more when you have the time...
@FlyDragon ...ooh, nasty work... I hope you gave that arm a good scrub..
Our garden is absolutely drenched and my awakening rambler is still in bud and refuses to open. I have high hopes for Raymond Blanc, the pink looks so bright! I just hope the buds progress to actual flowers....
Papworths pride also has beautiful colour, but I'm not sure is standing up to the rain at all well. The petals are all a bit floppy
Climbing Claire Austin and new rose Royal Jubilee - extraordinary vibrant colour! Different parts of the garden I hasten to add. Reserving judgement on this one, not in my usual colour range.

My folks line in bath @Lizzie27. I'm so jealous. They have an 80ft garden 10min walk from the centre and south facing!!! They aren't that into in gardening and have no interest in roses. What a waste!!
Your garden is stunning and I am so envious of how luxurious your roses look.
What does that mean in terms of how long it would take to get close to its mature size if planted in a border? Within a season or two if planted in the Autumn?

@Dirty Harry ..sorry I missed this earlier... yes it's quite a vigorous rose, mine is currently about 8 foot by 6 foot and it would be much larger than this but I cut it right down 3 years ago.. and I've had it some years.... ..after 2 seasons you should expect it to be about 5 foot tall if only light pruned... it doesn't grow that much in the first season, in the 2nd year it takes off, so by the start of the 3rd year my plant was already 5-6 foot tall by as much across..
..this photo from April 2015 starting the 3rd year.. the top of the trellis is about 6 feet.
...this photo from 2 months later, June 2015 showing it well above the trellis top.. I had to get on a ladder to take the picture.. so I'm looking down on it..
so, yes, plenty vigorous once it gets going.. however, you don't have to let it get to this height, you can prune it down to whatever you are comfortable with... 3 x 3 foot in a pot if you want.. but I like to let it grow big..
