@Victoria Sponge this was one of the first DA roses that caught my eye but still took a while before I took the plunge and very glad I did.

Thanks @Katsa.  This is why I love this forum thread as you get to see them in peoples gardens rather than edited to sell.  It does have a lovely fragrance but is stronger when it's a warm sunny day.

Lovely photos @Marlorena.  Wildberry looks very pretty and your C Vienetta is looking great.  I haven't had flowers on mine yet.  Was a bit pathetic looking when it arrived a few weeks ago.  So sorry to hear about your husband.  I looked after my Mum for many years and needless to say my garden looked shocking.

@rock_hen I love your GJ, has it much fragrance.  I've always been on the fence about this one but don't know why.  Please post photos of your Scent from Heaven when it opens too, would love to see it.

@Marlorena Your Wildberry catches my eye every time you show it. It's high on my list for this autumn and I never would have come across it elsewhere so thanks. Nice to see your Vienetta too. Same things caught my eye @poppyfield64 . I know why I haven't bought GJ , thorns!

@Omori Your 2 reds are stunning. Sympathies from another hard water sufferer. My water butts are dry again, no wetting rain here for a month so the plants will have to endure the tap stuff. Removing a deep mahonia stump showed me the soil is parched way down.

@Tack I am surprised to see you use saucers under your pots. Is it always dry enough for you to be able to do that or do you remove them in winter?
Regarding the rain, I would switch. I think I won't need to water plants in the ground for the rest of the year.
