I took a few pictures of Roald “Dhal”..
    The famous lentil dish! 😉

It looks great. I’d crossed him off the list but you’re pushing back towards wanting him again.

I can see why with your pot set up the fallen petals could look messy. In a border I find they disappear very quickly and don’t really notice them.

Apart from today when two of The Ancient Mariner’s flowers dropped all of their petals at almost exactly the same time in one big pile. I was watching as it happened!

    Speaking of petals... 🙂

    A,    B,     C,       left to right

Can you guess which roses these pink petals belong to?

One is from Eustacia Vye, one The Generous Gardener and one from The Ancient Mariner. But which is which?

@celcius_kkw Understandable in your setting, with the artificial lawn. I try to pick petals from gravel but in the borders, I don't care, they disappear quickly enough.
    Your Roald Dahl looks fantastic.

@Mr. Vine Eye Loving the ‘guess the petal’ game! Here are my answers:

    A: generous gardener
    B: Ancient Mariner
    C: Eustacia Vye

I must say A and C are a little difficult.. but anyway these are my final answers 😊

Thanks @poppyfield64 and @edhelka I do find that if I left the petals on the ground they would continue to perfume the air.. but then I must battle my inner compulsion to clean the lawn lol..

Love the colour of your RD @celcius_kkw

@Katsa, I  deadhead my Claire Austin if I'm going past, at least the ones I can reach.it helps the rose to rebloom I think. The ones I can't reach however have lovely hips on them in the winter which I quite like.

@Pianoplayer, wanted to ask a question about rose For Your Eyes Only. Does it repeat flower well?

  • @celcius_kkw I'm a bit inclined that way myself.  I go round the garden with a bucket almost daily picking up leaves and debris from the lawn lol

@newbie77 I have For Your Eyes Only too.  Had my last flush a month ago and today counted another 21 buds getting ready for a second flush.  I've only had it this season and I believe Pianoplayer got his a little before me.  It was seeing his that made me go back and pick it up.
  • @Mr. Vine Eye my guess is:

    A Eustacia Vye
    B The Ancient Mariner
    C The Generous Gardener
