    To those growing Kew Gardens.. I wonder if you have noticed that it rarely sets hips, if at all.. I don't think I've ever seen any on my rose, they start to develop into tiny little hips,  then quickly turn black..  I suspect the rose, in breeding terms, is a seed sterile triploid...  pollen could be used but no seeds..
    Yes, most probably. Many hybrid musks are like that, given their hybrid origin from diploid and tetraploid roses. It could also be pollen infertile or have only partial fertility in both seeds and pollen. Any combination is possible.
    My La Belle Rouge is like that too. Self deadheading. I thought I remembered a hip on it when it arrived as a bare root but most probably I am wrong.

    Longevity for me too @celcius_kkw - I don’t mind when the blooms of roses don’t last so long as they keep producing enough of them to maintain interest, like Astronomia is now doing, but both Susan W-E and Lady of Shallott are getting the boot because blooms are sparse AND short-lived/shatter easily!

    @poppyfield64, I do think that pot is too narrow. That size, but straight sided would be better for a climbing rose that will be there fairly long-term - not so easy to repot when you have it trained against something.

    I rarely see the same intensity of colour in LEH as yours, @Omori, but the fragrance is really strong this year in my 3-yr olds - now I know what everyone has been going on about!!

    ...nice to see more Kordes roses being offered here and even with their original names.. some of which do not always roll off the tongues of native English speakers.. that one has clearly been directly imported..

    ..striking colour ..

    @Omori
    ...you will find Summer Song rather floppy, but the blooms can be large and of a terracotta colour, edged pink...  might need support..

    ...if you are ordering from Guillot this winter, I have heard good reports of the rose 'Frederic Dard'... as being long lasting... it's white...  no idea how it stands up to rain though..

    Hi @Marlorena, there are a couple I am interested in and I might be tempted but the scarcity of reviews/information on heat/rain resistance/health is making me pause. I have ordered more than I have space for from TCL/Beales already though!

    Ty @Marlorena I’ll keep that in mind. Not too keen on floppy but the colour looks interesting enough to see if I can work with it.

    @micmarg Love that colour, great find!
