I photographed this thorns on this cane 5 days ago. Today, the whole 50-60cm cane with a cluster of buds snapped. So here is this in memoriam photo of blurry thorns.

I've removed a Bonica before, but not moved one.. however it wouldn't worry me if I had to ....that's all I can say about that..

  • @Marlorena I got it from tuincentrum lottum last autumn and I know their is a chance they can get things wrong as in past I got a golden celebration rose which was meant to be molineux but I recognised which rose had been sent instead. The Hyde hall rose that I received in the same order seems wrong as well I think. They get it right most of the time but seem more prone to a mistake then most places I’d say. I was looking forward to them both but I suppose I can see how the ones I got do.

they might be DA roses as well but don’t look familiar to anything I’ve seen before!

The sun went in and then came out on my first high-vis Alexander bloom. Bought because of the discussion on here.

I absolutely LOVE that colour! Which Alexander is it? So that I too can put it on my list :-)

@edhelka, I made a decision for the pergola. Hopefully I'll get the rose soon and have it planted. Now to figure out how to train it up!

@Marlorena.....I love your seating area.  It must be bliss sitting there amongst all your roses (when it's not blustery)

@Katsa This one was where I found it in stock http://www.rvroger.co.uk/index.php?linksource=stockitem&listgroupfile=roses&parentpagefile=opengroundroses&season=MAIN&webfilename=rosa_alexander DA, PB etc sold out . There was quite a discussion on here just before the site went offline on June 11 @Omori and @Jools posted pictures of theirs

...that's not a DA, nothing like I've ever seen... I think your rose may be 'Blessings'... Tuincentrum do sell it but I'm not certain by any means... maybe it's got mixed up... see what you think..

@Marlorena what a small world. You certainly moved a long way away.  I grew up in Newquay but have lived in Truro for over 30 years now.  I don't think I could ever move out of Cornwall.....I love it here.  Do you ever visit?
