I’ve had every vaccination /jab going and went off for the latest booster , I don’t drive , but a friend was taking her husband and kindly gave me a lift , she didn’t go in with us , was getting hers another day . We had jabs in each arm . No one , staff or patient wearing masks
no reaction next day , my arms weren’t even painful . That was Tuesday, Friday I had a bad cold , lasted till Monday . Talking to said friend on the phone , her Husband had Covid , oh dear , I got out the test , it turned positive more or less instantly ! So my cold was covid
I phoned around , everyone I had seen at the surgery jab clinic was suffering from covid
my friend who hadn’t come in with us didn’t get it
I really think masks should still be worn in crowds , the place we had our jabs was heaving and they let everyone in at once because it was raining
we are all ok now , I will certainly get any future jabs offered

I’ve reacted to every Covid jab I’ve had.  I’ve got used to writing off the following couple of days.  I comfort myself with the fact that it shows that my immune system is still fighting fit to repel all invaders 🥊

It wouldn’t stop me going for a future jab.  One day in bed vs days in hospital or worse.  No Brainer.
I agree and that's why I shall investigate other options with regard to the vaccine.

Everyone was wearing masks at our vaccination centre, and they had some for anyone who hadn't brought one. It was also decidedly not busy - no queue except for another couple who arrived just behind us. Maybe most of the people who could go on a weekday afternoon are already done.

Everyone wearing masks and somewhat distanced at mine this morning too, not that there were many there - I was third in the queue, went in after about 5 or 6 mins and there were a couple of people who had arrived behind me. All very civilised. I do hope I don't have a reaction - I've a relative visiting from HK tomorrow morning. We'll see.

    Hi @Fire,

    We have too.
It's not up and running in our area yet ... but we'll be notified when it is.

I've always been willing to participate in these sort of studies when I can.
I feel it's important to help drive innovation in healthcare.

@Fire, I've had an email from UK Biobank suggesting that I don't volunteer for the Future Health project as apparently, from a scientific view, it might skew the results. Not sure how that would be but I'm probably too old now anyway.

My sister and her husband had their covid boosters six days ago. She felt fine for two days, then had two days of feeling horrid, presumed side effects, although Hubbie only had a sore arm. He started to feel off colour today, so they both did tests, both positive! She is feeling fine now, but had been blaming the vaccine.
