It is, I've just booked my 4th booster, a little bit earlier than the 6th month recommended but because of the uptick in infections, people over 75 can now book online after 3 months since their last booster.

    I'm not immuno-suppressed however.

I suppose if I do catch Covid from my OH soon, I'll have to cancel it.

Nipped to SM on way home today. It’s the first day of the cessation of mask mandate for shops in Wales today.
Only two people out of at least 20-30 I saw had a mask on in the shop.
I thought more people would continue to be honest. Bit surprised.
    I’m continuing for now
even thought I test most days.

Perhaps all those other unmasked people had also tested and were negative, and  felt confident that there was little probability of their passing on the virus.  After all, we know that the mask is said to protect others, aren't we?  And what's to protect if we're negative?

Do I assume some sarcasm? Either way…

Many now accept that (basic) masks don’t protect you but do offer some protection to others (although they must surely help in reducing some of the splutter and viral load that must be hanging round in the air). Considering the high prevalence of the virus in the community, I’m just surprised more aren’t wearing masks even just to potentially slightly reduce the risk they pick up the virus.

My main observation is that it shows to me that people are not willing to make a small gesture to reduce the risk to other people any more. I know it’s not LAW now, but it is still recommended, at least in Wales. I just had the sense of “I don’t care about you” from people. I know the restrictions need to be calmed at some point but on DAY ONE??!

Still wearing a mask in shops here as I don't know where the other people in the shops have been or with whom.   Not wearing a mask for patchwork/needlework club but there I know we've all been triple vaccinated.  One or two still wear their mask.

Don't have to wear a mask for mosaic class anymore but we all do because one lady's OH is due to have surgery soon and doesn't want it postponed by an avoidable infection.

Not wearing a mask for dancing anymore but I do only dance with OH.   I shall probably wear mine again after Easter as most of the other couples will have been hosting grandchildren from local schools but also other parts of France.   There's always an infection spike after school hols.

    It is madness.

    Cases going up
    Hospitalisations going up.
    ICU admissions to surely follow.

    Wear a bloody mask.

If I'm out, apart from walking through the woods at the back of us.....I wear a mask.

I can't understand why it's so difficult for people to wear a mask. Just how long are they inside shops etc for that it's such a hardship?  :/
They're still a requirement here, and will be for a few weeks at least, yet I still see folk in the supermarket without them, and I'm only in there for twenty minutes once a week. I hardly go anywhere else indoors.
I hate to think what'll happen around Easter when folk will be travelling around. It's the knock on effect of it all that's the main problem. Many hospitals are still struggling with the volume of people being admitted, even if they aren't as seriously ill, or dying.

It's been said before but to protect yourself better,  wear an FFP2 mask, or at least 5 layers.
