Had my Spikevax today. Sore arm tonight and really hoping I don’t have the shivers and feeling grim like the last 3 times.
We had ours on Tuesday,  so far just the sore arm. Hope it's the same for you.  Well worth having it done as the numbers are rising rapidly again.

The shivers and headache kicked in about 2am 🤬
Pain killers have taken the headache down to a ‘hangover’ head this morning. I’ll take more tablets as soon as I can and hope I can manage in work today. Boo.
Sore arm goes without saying but I don’t mind that.

Well, folks, old man had his Monday, headache started after a few hours, spent Tuesday on the sofa... feeling rough, didn't dress or shower. Had mine yesterday, got very loud tinnitus about an hour later (I had Moderna previously,he had phizer, that's what I had then) lasted about 3 hours, felt very slightly whoozy, like an alcoholic drink on an empty stomach. I sat on the sofa with a 10tog duvet, that's very unusual for me,still t shirts here, wasn't shivery though,no aches or pains. Pharmacist said please ring with any side effects as it's a new Vax and double whammy.Relieved!! Dentist next week, and Dopplers at the podiatrist,THEN dogs annual jabs.

Weird. Woke on Friday morning, with sore throat, headache, blocked nose and feeling ropey. Did a covid test which was negative. Been feeling better after a couple of paracetamol. Felt a bit better yesterday, until the evening, so did another test. Still negative. Lousy again this morning, throat sore again, and woke with a cough, not had a raised temperature but what I’d describe as ‘hot, dry eyeballs’! Yet another negative test. Looks like I must have picked up a bad cold or mild flu, but I’ve been keeping my distance and can’t think where I could have got it.

Oh dear @Ergates, hope you feel better soon. My sister and her partner have also gone down with heavy colds so it must be doing the rounds.

There’s lots of horrid bugs around. We’re booked in to have our flu jabs tomorrow.

Son has his COVID jab booked for this Saturday.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • Felt weak on Saturday morning and had to prize myself out of bed (I normally can’t sit still for more than half an hour and jump out of bed normally before my alarm).

Sunday morning it felt like a cold was brewing.

Last night I started sneezing and my ears wouldn’t pop and I sat on the sofa for about four hours! Felt rather grotty.

Woke up this morning at 6 for work and reset my alarm for half seven. The thought of getting out of bed made me very sad.

    Took a test. Positive.

I’ve managed to evade it for almost three years but it’s finally got me.

Weirdly I’m starting to feel better than I did last night!
