Covid infections are on the rise again in France 55% in the last seven days, so take care folks.
  • Watching the crowds in London and hardly a mask in sight, there could be sudden rise here too.
  • Hmm I  was thinking the same,  the numbers were just falling again after the post holiday leap upwards. Time will tell.

Had the booster yesterday. Mild side effects but still a PITA. I wonder how long they'll take to wear off.

  • I felt fine after 24 hours or so 👍  Followed docs advice to take it easy, keep hydrated and take paracetamol for headache.

  • Got my booster a week today, hubbies on Monday, and he's received confirmation from the clinic it's still going ahead
As you all know, I've been taking part in a Covid study for 2 years, with Prof Adrian Monteneau Queen Mary's University, this month's video was talking about the link between air pollution and your chances of getting Covid....but asymptomatically. I've never had any symptoms,or a positive test. Back in 2020, I sent off blood samples pre. Jab, because hubby and all my kids had had symptoms at some point. Unfortunately, result came back..... not enough blood for testing. Almost 12k tests were carried out,and by postcodes of more polluted areas, significantly higher numbers of people had Covid antibodies present, but had never had symptoms of having Covid.

Have you any ideas what that might mean @Nanny Beach? Is the pollution weakening the virus?

More polluted areas generally have higher population so higher chance of exposure to viruses.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
