    @Omori. That’s very kind of you.😘
    I asked the driver how they knew who was over 70,  he said they are working on a way to find out.  I suppose they could get the info from DWP but that’s probably breaking confidentiality.

    Just spoke to the neighbour over the fence. She says my dog keeps coming over for a cwtch but she won't touch him because she doesn't know if touching other peoples' dogs is ok. They both seemed fairly put out by the restrictions :D
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    I'm pleased to say that my tumble dryer was delivered at midday by two very pleasant, efficient men who put their masks on as soon as they got out the truck. I stood well away, also with my mask on, while they took the old one away and put the new one in the porch. Done and dusted in less than 15 mins. They wished me well and told me to keep safe when they left. I've wiped the dryer down with disinfectant and will not touch it for 72 hours.

    Glad to hear Waitrose has toilet paper, but as we are gardeners, here is a back-up, just in case:

    I was at our local GC a few days ago (when it was allowed to be there) and the chap there said they've been regularly disinfecting everything that people touch frequently. Apparently the GC cat isn't too happy about it :D

    Why use such draconian measures like "Lockdown" if people are allowed to do what they think is Ok? People at the weekend thought it was "Ok" to fill the parks and holiday places up, people think that it's "ok" to buy newspapers when they have been instructed that they can go for a walk but not go into shops unless it is essential, I say "Instructed" because that takes away the public's choice to do what they would normally do. No going to buy a newspaper is no more "Ok" than going to Mr Mike Ashley's Emporium to buy running socks would be, in my opinion.
    They did the 'social distancing' thing and we saw people acting irresponsibly (probably a minority in the grand scheme of things). The irresponsible folk were then the target for our outrage, not the government who put these measure in place too late and with too little support or enforcement to allow people to comply. So we were all ready for the shutdown and it felt almost like a relief when it happened - but it may too late to avert a big spike in coronavirus cases, as the pubs, clubs and schools only closed 4 days ago.

    I'm intending to do our fresh food shop in the village once a week. I'll go this week and see how things are. If it's too busy, I may have to make other arrangements but as has been said, if I can go and get things I will rather than use up delivery capacity that at the moment I don't need. If I have to self isolate at some point, I may need to change to deliveries but better not to overload it if I can help it, even though there is a risk to going out. Neither of us is 'vulnerable' and we are entirely isolated apart from needing food, so I suppose we're less of a risk to the population at large than some will be.

    @Dovefromabove- it doesn't surprise me at all about that ruddy woman. She's a complete idiot, and likes to take to social meedja at every conceivable opportunity to bang on about something. Another Me, Me, Me clown.

    As I said the other day - all the residents in Cornwall/Devon, and other remoter areas, need to take a leaf out of  the Highland residents' book and get a very large banner with Tourists Go Home on it.
    How on earth do they think these places will cope?
    They seem to have the same problem as that woman at my daughter's work who declared she didn't care about anyone else.

    Younger fairylet now has symptoms, so they're both confined to barracks.

    Hope they are both OK @Fairygirl  Gabriel is not good today, he seemed to get better and then both he and Jonah had sore throats.  Gabriels breathing isn't great but at the moment Secondborn is looking after him with his inhaler.  We are all keeping our fingers  crossed.  I've been keeping myself busy in the garden, weeded the front borders.  Hubby has been sorting out the conservatory roof, we had a bit of a leak during the recent very heavy downpours.  We're running low on fresh veg and salad but are fine for everything else.
