Unbridled joy, my Grey wagtails are back, they appear around the pond every year and I am so pleased to see them. Also saw a Tree Creeper in the Orchard today, I don't see them very often.

Hello went to Morrisons today , had to queue to get in but note a problems , shelves pretty full , even toilet rolls , only shortage washing up liquid ? Also did shopping for 2 elderly couples living close buy . Have heard that on line shopping is a problem but there must be away round it because opposite is a disabled couple with lots of medical problems who would need to self isolate , have just had an online delivery 🚚 which they don’t normally have
Lovely sunny day , just having a cup of tea on front bench Stay safe everyone
They may have already booked a slot early enough @GWRS, and they would be priority too. I know it's varying around the country, but a couple of weeks seems to be about average for next available slots. The meltdown seemed to have happened because a lot more people will be trying to use it instead of attempting the real thing, even if they have no symptoms etc. Hardly worth my while trying now, because we'll be out of isolation by then, but I would prefer to do it, just in case. I'm just glad daughter is ok despite the setback this morning.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

@Fairygirl, glad to hear your daughter's feeling a bit better now. Hope she fully recovers soon.
Giving up on online shopping, going to toddle down to our local corner shop, hopefully when it's a bit quieter! Apparently disabled and really vulnerable people can now register on the Gov Uk website, and they'll organise online shopping for them. We don't qualify for that, being fit and well fortunately. We just happen to be over 70.
Been fighting with this most of the day but will need OH's help tomorrow with the pickaxe!
Our supermarkets don't have any slots. I thought I'd booked a click and collect with Morrisons for 3rd April but I didn't realise you have to pay for your shopping before it's confirmed so I've lost it. I didn't know that you shop to the minimum amount, pay, book slot and checkout but then you can alter your list and add stuff later. The website wasn't clear. I'll go to a village shop next week. There isn't one in this village but there is one in each of two nearby villages.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
That's interesting @Busy-Lizzie. I wasn't sure whether you had to pay first or not. Sainsbury's do it the other way round - or at least I think they do! Perhaps that's why I haven't got a slot. I don't want to pay until I know I can get a slot, it could be a long wait!
Last week Morrison's were unable to deliver because a driver was off sick, so we drove and collected it ... however although we'd ordered £80 worth of goods they were only able to supply £40 worth of my order (below the amount for a delivery) ... I had an email yesterday apologising and saying that I would not be charged for the goods I had ... can't be fairer than that. 👍

Well I had a bit of a shock this afternoon, got a call saying the Secretary of State wanted a chat, turned out it was about ventilators. I don't think they had quite appreciated, that they are quite complicated bits of kit and that as ICU consultants we get used to a particular type, over a period of a few years. It so happens that probably 70% of hospitals in the UK, use machines by either Drager or Siemens, so not surprisingly people are concerned about using vacuum cleaners.

Well I did wonder when Grand Prix car chappies said they would make some. I know those cars are high tech ut not sure about turning their exhaust manifold or fuel injection systems into ventilators.
