    Hugs to everyone feeling anxious.
    @chicky, in a "clutching at straws " way. She's in a country with a good health system and she's safe . There are plenty of places where she could have been stuck which are neither.
    Thats exactly what we are telling ourselves @Hostafan1.  And one of the reasons we are unwilling to explore circuitous routes home that might leave her stranded in the middle east or Indonesia.  I have an old work friend in Sydney who has made contact with her - I think she now feels happier knowing that there is a sensible adult on the other end of a phone line in the same time zone.

    Most things I can cope with, but just had an email to say that my wine order will not be delivered.
    @chicky, you must feel a bit better knowing that.

    Sunny here but nippy in the breeze.  More gentle DIY jobs for me and then, if it warms up, some seed tray and cloche washing.  It seems the lovely snails and a few slug have sheltered in a lot of them over winter and have not been too strong on personal hygiene.  Yuk.

    I hope senior Fairylet is OK today @Fairygirl and that Chicklet stays safe and well @chicky.   Definitely better off stuck in Oz than points in between there and home.

    @AuntyRach - power to you and all your colleagues and hope you get all the PPE equipment you need.   Same for anyone else doing essential jobs and at risk.

    Take care Forkers.  Be safe and sensible.

    Re the care home in Spain ... do we know that the staff were fit and healthy and just decided to walk out ..... could they not have been ill and dying too?  Things are pretty grim out there and we can sometimes be very quick to assume things ... just saying  :/

    @chicky ... ((hugs))

    @punkdoc ... if you have access to a couple of sturdy carrier pigeons we've got some good reds in the garage ...  happy to share 🍷🍷

    @Dovefromabove - no, an enquiry is to be launched to establish what happened, as you'd expect.   Worrying all the same tho, whatever the reason, as they'll need to take steps to make sure it doesn't happen elsewhere.

    We've just been to W'rose ... I sat in the car while OH did the shopping ... we wouldn't have had to do it if Morrison's had delivered a bit more of our full order last week or made more sensible substitutions. Waitrose were only letting a few folk in the store at a time ... there was a place to queue in a roped off section of the car park, with 2m distances marked and with a Warden at the end letting one person in when one person came out. (OH kept 4 metres back from the person in front as he reasoned with the wind direction droplets might travel further.)
    It all worked very well. OH got most of the shopping we needed, even loo roll! But we were only allowed 3 meat items (being well trained OH bought quite a large joint of pork and I've cut it in half to make two joints and frozen one half ... the other will be for Sunday) and there was no flour or yeast ... but we still have a bit so we'll be ok ... that was just for topping up. I expect the meat situation will settle as time goes on. Meanwhile we won't starve. There were plenty of eggs and milk but no creme fraiche.
