Good morning Rosie and all to follow. Rosie, I actually beat you to it as I've been down to 'sco to do some essential shopping. Lily would never forgive me if I ran out of treats. I went just after 06:00 - no sign of Dennis yet and no sign of very many people. I was picking my way through the empty cages and cardboard boxes as shelf refilling was going on. It is always bliss shopping early.
Ante, I hope that your cold is not too bad for you this morning.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning Rosie and all to follow. Just waiting for my lift into work and hoping this wet and windy weather keeps people at home! My youngest daughter and her husband are stuck in Iceland as no planes have been flying but hoping to get home tonight. Not a major problem as long as they can get home before Monday. Hope you all stay dry and warm today! Happy Saturday!
Chive I hope you enjoyed staying in bed for a bit longer. It will have done you good to sit back for a while. I’ve done a few things today but I’m going to rest and have a lazy day.
I had intended building and placing my new obelisk but then sense took over. It can stay in the garage until I'm not having to fight rain and wind to get it into the garden where my poor old one, which served for many a year, used to stand. Sadly there is no rugby to watch this weekend. I've made some vegetable soup - correction, I put all the ingredients in my soup maker and IT made the soup - so my lunch is sorted. I think the rest of my day will be fairly lazy.

I am glad that it is dark and I cannot see out of my windows. Watching the huge trees across the road thrashing about before it went so dark was quite worrying.

Signing out for tonight everyone. See you all tomorrow. Hope that all the poorly people are getting better and that noone suffers any damage from Storm Dennis.
