T'Bird - all good news from you. I suspect you are correct in thinking your FIL will be sedated - hence the confusion but he's in the right place and lets hope he continues to recover. I've said several times on here that I LOVE the NHS too! Don't worry about the logs, your back has told you that you have done enough in terms of shifting the log pile. There is nothing there that cannot wait for another day. When I was locking up the garage after the repotting I noticed a) how dark it had suddenly become and b) how much the temperature had plummeted.

    Good evening to all.
T'bird, I hope that you will receive positive feedback from hospital.
I saw on the news what's happening with rain and floods in UK. You really don't have luck with weather so far.

I didn't went to school today, but I'm feeling much better now. Pleasant surprise happened today. I ordered seeds last Tuesday and it arrived today. Only six days from UK to me. Record speed.

You snuckered in there Chive. The obelisk is still in the garage but its installation has got to the top of the 'to do' list which will be tomorrow - weather permitting. Doris is an oldie but goodie and smells divinely of cloves. A real cottage garden speciality.
Ante, I'm glad to hear that you are feeling a little better and that is fast service for your seeds.

Six days for seeds is not bad going even within the UK Ante! Hope you feel better soon.

Chive - meant to say I hope you enjoy your week off. Dianthus “Doris” is fairly widely available and rather nice - I’ve grown it in the past. I could grow dianthus in previous gardens but the soil in this one is far too heavy and claggy (Ante = sticky).

I made a small gravel garden last year which is hot and dry and that’s the only place I can keep them. Love the clovey smell of pinks. One of the reason Jo Malone’s Pomegranate Noir is my favourite perfume - has a similar spicy, clove scent.

I cannot believe that it is actually a week since MM, OC and Uni Chall! Where has that time gone! Time for brain exercises again. I think I need to get some more puzzles organised.
