Good morning Chive, you snuckered in there. Doesn't your half term week seem to be flashing by? Have a safe journey to your Aunt's later. There will be a lot of hot gossip going on when you all get together. Enjoy your day.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning Debs, Chive and LB. Chive hope you have a good trip tosussex. I used to live in West Sussex many years ago. It’ll be good for you to get together. Wishing you good weather. Thank you for all your kind wishes ladies.
Guess what my weather is like today? I'm not going to Bestie's again this week. I don't want to pass on anything that might, in turn, be passed on to her Mum. I THINK I might be finally getting over it as my last two nights have been much more settled. I was thinking about my rellies up in Eskdale and I can only imagine their frustration if they cannot get out walking. They come home tomorrow and it feels like its only been a blink of the eye since they left to go up there last Sunday.

Evening🙂 Decent journey to Yorkshire with several ordinary and one spectacular rainbow. Really vibrant colours and (as I was cresting a hill) I could see the full rainbow. Could nearly see the pots of gold shining at either end😉
Visit to hospital was OK. FIL was moved from the HDU back to an Enhanced Dependency Unit this morning which is a good sign. However, they were becoming increasingly concerned about his low blood pressure while we were there & they’re checking him every 30 mins or so. He is quite dehydrated despite their best efforts so they’ve put him back on a drip to address that issue. Problem is he won’t drink without being prompted & the nurses don’t have enough spare time & his family are all too nice to bully him. I, however, am a pint size bully and managed to persuade him to drink a whole bottle of liquid in the 2 hrs we were there. He’s tired and frail with lots of tubes attached - but probably in better spirits than expected. Glad I made the effort to come up. Will pop in tomorrow lunchtime before setting off home in the afternoon. The A1 and A14 on a Friday afternoon with yellow weather warnings - deep joy.😬
Hope your trip went OK Chive. The M25 is not good at any time and the traffic is so busy south of London. Hope you managed a good day though.
Sorry you’ve missed seeing your bestie again LB. Fingers crossed for next week. Will you see your rellies this weekend?
Rosie / Rubee hope today went ok for you.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Thanks for the update on your FIL T'Bird. I think this 'drinking water' thing seems to be a problem for some seniors. My Mum was terrible and I had to do the bully stuff to get her to drink. Jack the cat sitter is as bad despite his docs telling him he must drink more water. I hope to be catching up with the rellies this weekend to hear all about their week. Fingers crossed that your journey tomorrow goes without incident. It is POETS day after all.

Topbird I’m glad fil has improved even though still in ED and I hope he’ll be able to drink more. After some time speaking to the radiologist he informed me it would not be safe to go ahead today and theres a possibility that I may need an x ray of the area. Anyway my sister and Bil drove me and Rubee over there and brought us back and we’ve had fish and chips and a natter which was nice.
