Reasons to be cheerful - 2020

Time to change to the new year here!!

Have just seen a butterfly flitting past the window.  No idea what it was as it was moving too fast but brown and orange.   Lots of busy birdsong too.

Are we cheerful or not that we haven't had any winter yet? I think I'd like a few days of good hard frost to kill the bugs.

Dream on.  Very heavy frosts in our Belgian garden and no bovver at all for the pests and especially slugs which just burrow deeper to unfrozen ground and then come up and eat and breed when it's warmer.   Don't know where the aphids hif but they'd be there too and the shiny beetles that invade mint and the cabbage whites et al.

Forgot to say,  well done @Hostafan1 - I've cut my alcohol consumption down by half but don't think I could do without it altogether.
