Exactly how chocolate should be eaten. Anyone who eats one square and puts it away deserves to have their chocolate taken away from them!
I've been trying to convince my missus that her chocolate must have self-destructed when it was left unattended in the fridge. I don't think she's totally convinced.
I've just finished all the chocolate I was given at Christmas . Only 3 Lindt easter bunnies left to go. When I say " just " I don't mean I've eaten it all today, I mean it's taken me since then.
I was given a box of G&B little bars. The white chocolate is safe forever😝 . The very very dark one will be used in chilli. The rest are long gone. The booklet telling you how amazing the chocolate is and taking up space that should have contained chocolate has been binned in disgust, unread.
Outstanding customer care this week from a local independent retailer. My Aged Parent needed a new mattress, and we went into the shop just round the corner, but all their beds were on the first floor, and the poor old dear couldn't get up the stairs. Thinking I was being very cheeky, I told the saleslady that we live very close by, and asked if they could bring a small selection of mattresses to the house for mother to try them out. To my surprise, she agreed to this without a murmur. They came today, phoned first to ask if it was convenient. Two cheery gents with four mattresses. The first one she tried was satisfactory, they took the old one away, and I went round the corner to pay for it. Just have to see how it performs overnight.
Just remembered another RTBC: we are having the first of the home-grown runner and broad beans for dinner.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
