  • I sowed some seeds three weeks ago and in one pot a tomato seedling has appeared. I am growing it on out of curiosity, no idea what it might be. I grow my own plants, Gardeners Delight, from seed but buy different varieties of tomatoes for eating during the winter. Might end up with a new variety, or complete rubbish.

KT53, yes I agree with that, and Eastenders, weird programme, I dont watch it, (or other "Soaps") but you cant avoid it, the TV guides put write ups, seems to me everyone is having an afair, dying, getting blown up run over. My first tomatos, last years seeds but well in date, are taking a long time, peppers, aubergines, nothing so far.  They are in kitchen window as normal in JI no seed compost also as normal.

Nanny Beach, I don't understand why anybody watches Eastenders.  It's permanently depressing storylines isn't something I want to sit and watch to lighten my evening.

@Mary370. I'm so sorry to read your post, and it's wonderful  that you can be so positive.
I hope the days to come are sunny and bright for you, even though they'll also be tinged with sadness.
I was listening to the radio a few weeks ago, and the woman being interviewed said the most beautiful thing- 'we are brief sparks against aeons of darkness'
    How true.

Keep those happy memories close x
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
