Over the weekend, I thought my mower was on its last legs.  I bought it second-hand for £20 and it's lasted six years, so it doesn't owe me anything.  Turned out that the extension lead I was using was defective, so I don't need to look for another £20 second-hand mower.

We cleared out the fridge over the weekend to make space for the weekly shop and decided the two jars of mincemeat could probably come out.......and get made into pies!! Mince pies in July, fantastic!!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Just a nice afternoon on the veg plot, a nice dinner courtesy of my son, made from things from the veg plot and now nature has decided to do the watering for me, right on cue.

Just one of those lovely July days when the garden is bountiful and all seems well with the world.

Had a very good lunch with friends in their garden today, the rain stayed away until after we'd finished, which was good timing and then other friends phoned for a long chat this evening.

Just had a video chat with a friend who was suicidal a couple of weeks ago.  He has got over the depression he was in and seems to be enjoying life once more.  I'm so relieved.

I’ve just sorted our freezers and catalogued what’s in there. I have now put in the meals diary what we’re going to eat for every day up until August 31st with only three repetitions. Come Autumn we’ll have to do a lot more batch cooking and restock the freezers but the next two months are going to be cheap ones at the supermarket. #smugface.
