We’ve had 88 mm rain so far. The river is still spreading out and flowing downstream. 👏.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
    and for you @Pat E 🥂
The sense of relief must be immense ... I know it’s not all over but the immediate outlook has improved 😊

Glad you’re having a lovely time @chicky ... give those Tas cousins of mine a wave if you’re passing by Dunalley 😎

    Good morning all.
Dry and not windy here, but more wind and rain coming in tonight.

Good morning.  Calm, sunny and golden this morning.  Lovely.

I have to find Cosmos and take him to the vet again as he has a small wound that needs checking before he licks himself bald. He has, of course, done a disappearing act this morning.

Then off to Nantes this pm.  I'm booked on an all day picture framing course tomorrow and have decided not to try and beat the morning traffic but stay over nearby.

Good that your rain levels are creeping up @Pat E but I reckon you could do with about 900mm more, nice and steady tho.  Not all at once.

Just seen the forecast and Dennis is not looking too clever for the UK this weekend.

lovely day here at the moment, no rain forecast and no clouds (at the moment ) fingers crossed, I’ve got to go into Tavy for some birthday cards.

Talking  of tattoos, my grandmother born in 1889 had a tattoo and ears pierced, she also had her 1st baby’s ears pierced.
I remember  in the early 80’s my son and his friend went down to Union Street, Plymouth to get tattoos down, son came back with one ear pierced and his mate had a little devil about an inch tall on the top of his, they chickened out😀
    i hate them.

Chicky is missing a perfect crisp winter morning here, blue sky and calm before the next storm.

Watched a timely repeat of the BBC Contagion programme last night which modelled pandemic flu spread based on our local town Haslemere. Then watched another one on the Spanish flu outbreak which killed over 100 million. I know that governments now have better action plans but it is still a sobering thought that it only takes one infected individual to set the ball rolling.
  • When I was about 14 I wanted to shave my head and have purple butterflies tattooed all over it ... did I do it?

Unless I go bald you’ll never know 😉
