Must admit I find steak to be one of the most boring cuts of meat ever - unless it's sliced thinly and then stir fried very quickly with some spicy Chinese or Thai flavouring s and served with some good, spicy fresh veg.

Steak can be rubbish, particularly ‘pub grub’, but done well (ie. not well done) with butter melted over is most delicious.

Smelling pretty good here AuntyRach! But we don't have red meat often so perhaps I'd get bored if we did. Chinese style cooking is something I haven't explored much Obelixx, hubby usually calls the take away, which is a night off for me! But I'd love to try some simple dishes sometime.  :)

Plenty of recipes to start you off on BBC Food and BBC Good Food websites @WonkyWomble.   No take-aways here except a pizza place in July and August when all the holiday people are here and I haven't found a Chinese or Thai or Indian place I want t try tho I did spot a Chinese restaurant the other day on my way to discuss British cookery at the lycée.   It's 25kms from home so unlikely to get a visit from Obxx and co.

On the few occasions I do have a steak @AuntyRach it has to be rare and well brought up from a proper race and have a good sauce and salad with it.

I prefer chicken, pork or lamb. Not keen on beef. Probably because I hate to see blood leaking into my lovely vegetables. 😬

No rain yesterday, but more predicted in the next couple of days. So far we’ve collected 89mm, which is wonderful. I can’t believe how quickly the paddocks have changed from dry brown, to soft green. I keep getting up to look out the window in case it was a mirage. 😂

I hope Chicky and family are having a good time travelling around and not going where there is flooding. Not a problem here.

Hi Chicky. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Port Arthur gave me the creeps when I saw the small size of the prison cells. (Claustrophobic). Are you wet or dry?

im not sure that Dove told her relatives.😃

We went for a drive today to look at the burned area near us. This is an example of the marvellous recuperative ability of Eucalyptus trees (only a few weeks after being burned and then rained on). It’s called epicormic buds that shoot.

When we got home, Hubby flopped on the lounge and instantly to speed, so I’ve been playing with some of Liri’s jigsaws so that I wouldn’t wake him.
