My head is a lot better, thanks @Dovefromabove, stitches coming out on Tuesday. Antibiotics have worked  :)
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Hurrah!  very glad to hear it @Busy-Lizzie :)  It's horrid to have stuff happening on your head/around your eyes.

You’re right Dove. I realised I wasn’t showing suitable sympathy for those who are flooded.  Sorry, didn’t man it like that. I was just pleased that there was more rain.
Sorry your head has still been troubling you BustL.

  • Afternoon all!   :)

Glad @Pat E has amused herself with my jigsaws.  It's a distraction for me too, when the house is full of plumbers and electricians and I'm shut in one room with the cat.  Not for much longer though, hopefully...

Dennis is blustering about here, blowing the empty oil tank and the bins over and flooding a bit of the back garden where the insulators had to remove a downpipe from the gutter.  They're not working today, which is hardly surprising.  Fingers crossed for my friends in the Calder Valley during this storm - the ground is already completely sodden.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Lyn, I’m a bit confused bout your last post?.   I’ve got an old post from Fidget. 😳

    Anyway, night all.
It was an old Forkers chat thread from 2016 that hadn't been closed, so still had posting box open, some troll had spammed it.

Rain and wind here too, my OH, born and bred on a farm, can’t stay in,  so far I have 2 wet coats, 2 wet waxed body warmers and a pair of soaked through overalls drying on airers in front of the radiator
