Hello all. Just popping in to say we are having a terrible day with very strong winds from the north west and temps in the 30s. Hubby is out on the fire truck with his fire captain patrolling the edges of the fire from the last weeks. They are expecting it to flare up again because of the weather conditions. 😡 The chimney is being battered by the wind.
Yes, I know, complain, complain, but I know you all understand my need to offload.
@Pat E that is terrible news. Can’t begin to imagine what you are going through out there, but thinking of you lots. Carry on offloading here as much as you want.
Off to Southampton again today - another hospital appointment with Dad. Getting used to the fact that appointments are always at least an hour late, so taking plenty of reading material.
They are true heroes, @Pat E. Thinking of you and "Mr Pat".
Morning all. Grey and misty here, but dry, which is a blessing because the plasterers arrived before it was light. They have at least put down dust sheets (unlike the builders, some of whom seem oblivious to the fact that we're living in part of the house), and have shut the front door...
Hubby is miserable. His back is taking a long time to heal, though the spasms are now few and far between, but the weather is dull and he's feeling cooped up. He's also looking too much at the news, which for someone prone to depression isn't a good thing... I must see if I can get him out in a bit, just for half an hour or so.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

@Pat E - that is sad to hear. Keep strong yourself.
Time for cuppa 2.
