I tried to type panicking but as usual it’s too quick to send.

We heard a rumour today in town that where that big plane went down yesterday and ended up in a big fireball, and it’s not far from here. Itsupposedly landed on the koala sanctuary and did lots of damage. The trouble with rumours is that it’s often wrong. Let’s hope so in this case.

It was reported on the news here too.

    Morning and G’day all.

There’s a bit of a noisy dawn chorus out there this morning. (Or someone’s cat is causing mischief).

    Have a good Friday everyone.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Special hugs and thoughts to @Pat E and everyone coping with such a difficult situation.

Things to do today as we have a day out tomorrow and will need packed lunches ... I’m going to make nice bread and some pea and ham soup.

That sounds really tempting on a cold day, Dove.  I always make a big pot in winter. My son takes a couple of frozen serves home after a visit.

I bought a big smoked bacon hock yesterday @Pat E ... it only just fitted into my big stockpot. I cooked it yesterday so we’ve got lots of stock and a dried pea soup mix has been soaking overnight. That’ll make a nice soup, and there’s loads of bacon for tonight’s supper and sandwiches for tomorrow. Tonight I’ll heat some of the bacon in a little stock with some carrots and we’ll have that with frozen broad beans and parsley sauce. 😋

Another gloomy misty day here.  It’s Chicklet’s day off so we are going out for lunch.  But until then a bit of admin is called for ✍🏻🗒🗑

I've changed the bedlinen and the washing machine is busy, bread's in the oven and split pea and ham soup is simmering away for a packed lunch tomorrow. There's not a lot else that must be done ... but I might make some Suffolk Rusks for the packed lunch as we'll be picnicking in Suffolk ...

Thoughts are with you @Pat E. Hope it wasn't on the koala sanctuary.

You sound busy, busy @Dovefromabove. We're just back from a walk to get the paper and my prescription, although they've cocked that up as usual so I'll have to wait until next week.  Saw lots of snowdrops out in a lane though and it's quite mild today with a flash of sunshine earlier. I need to change beds and towels as well but might put that off till tomorrow as gardening (carefully) is calling. Enjoy your day out tomorrow.
