I've just been over to switch on the heater in the annexe. We've been painting and the weather isn't great for drying .

Looks like it’s a couple of degrees warmer down your way than it is here 🏝

    Morning all.
We are going to lunch at son 2's this morning. They have 4 small children so it will be animated!

Had a boring but productive day sorting the study out. Found a fair few boxes that haven’t been opened for about 5-10 years! Mostly old paperwork and work stuff - so three piles on the go: keep (not much!), recycle, and shred/burn. Looks like a recycling depot in there now!
Thats what we are doing at my Dad’s house at the moment - only he hasn’t touched it for more than 40 years.  The “keep” piles are tiny, but we have also had a few laughs along the way.  Last week we discovered the fountain pen he used to do his A-levels in 1953 😱. His comment was “I wondered where that had gone!”

Had a good cutting back and weeding session in the garden yesterday, and am heading out for some more today (before the rain sweeps in this afternoon).

Then off to see David Copperfield at the cinema tonight .....there’s lots of things I want to see at the moment .....which is unusual.

Greetings all.   OH has just reminded me I have a garden group talk this pm followed by a "verre d'amitié" and galette du roi.   Maybe I'll just stick to the friendly drink.

We have rain forecast for the rest of this week so no weeding for me yet but I'll have time to draw out my plans for the middle of the "garden" which is all old building foundations, weed membrane, fine gravel and concrete.   Lovely it is not.   But it could be.

Happy Chinese New Year to all Forkers.

    Hi all

Cold and damp here, not a day to be outside, think I will curl up with my book.
