    Happy birthday @Dovefromabove

The weather is much calmer today thanks but still a tad wet and grey.   Nevertheless I see we have fresh new flowers opening on the ruby penstemons.  They've beaten the first daffs which will open in a few days.   Mad but lovely.

    Hi all.

    Happy 27th. @Dovefromabove
We have snow and bitter cold here, so another indoor day I think.
Taking Moira away for her Christmas present this weekend. We are going to the Black Swan in Oldstead, which is Tommy Bank's restaurant, we have been before and it is excellent.

Hello all, and Happy Birthday @Dovefromabove!  Hope you have a lovely day.

I've been in hibernation for a few days, getting to grips with the plaster dust while the weather is sleety.  Vinegar cleaner seems the best thing for neutralising the dust on the floor, but I suspect more will arrive once the electrician starts rewiring, and the plumber drills holes for the new central heating pipes.  Ah well... it'll be worth it in the end.  And at least we now have gutters on the extension, so I don't need earplugs to shut out the sound of the waterfall outside the bedroom window when it rains!

We had a lovely walk a few days ago (part of the rehabilitation programme for Hubby's back), and were amused to see this:
