We quite often get curious blue tits perched on the stones or bricks around our windows and peering in. They also have a peck for insects but mostly they're just nosy.

I had one in the watering can the other day, assume he was looking for somewhere to make a nest. Problem was he really struggled to find his way out again.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
We're stuck in one room with the cat at the mo - she's desperate to explore the dusty bits, but we've got quite enough mess without her adding to it... might escape into the garden for a breath of fresh air, though. My little "nursery" of cuttings and divisions from the Yorkshire garden needs sorting through, so I can remove slugs and snails lurking in the pots and see what's coming back to life...
In the old house we had a long-tailed tit fluttering at the bedroom window at this time of year. It used to drive the moggy mad!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Evening all. I was back to work today 😕 - my ‘to do’ list is massive! Each time I sort one thing out, another thing appears. We have a team meeting tomorrow, so that will generate some more too! That’s life I suppose!
Hope everyone is ok? Do I tempt fate by saying the volume of lurgy/ailments has decreased this week?? Keep it up guys!
I think it’s 6 weeks until my next leave - that’s my early Spring gardening week, so it better not be snow etc.
Just spotted a local gardening event called ‘Seedy Saturday’ - workshops, seed swaps, secateur-sharpening and wildlife stuff. Might book that - it’s end of Feb.
@Dovefromabove is that new wool for a garden camouflage project? It is a gorgeous colour.
@Busy-Lizzie - nice looking restaurant and pub but why do they put soup du jour? Soup of the day - given that everything else in English or else "soupe du jour".
@AuntyRach - I've had to give up making lists. Far too many items on them so it gets frightening. Just you wait till you retire!! Seedy day sounds good.
@Liriodendron - hope the dust has settled and the cat can play. Every cabbage we pick has to be soaked in salty water to eliminate slugs so heaven knows what's going on in the all the pots of treasures waiting to be planted out.
Now relaxing after dinner in front of a very warm log fire. Temps at head altitude are positively soporific. Early night then.

@Obelixx it’s another long snuggly cardigan for Wonky’s lovely elderly MIL who had that nasty fall down the stairs a few months ago. I knitted one for her then ‘cos son in law said she complained of feeling cold and that she could never find a really warm cardigan that fitted (like him she’s tall). She loves it and hardly takes it off. She says it makes her feel ‘special’, so he’s asked me to knit her another one 😊 He chose the gorgeous colour ... it’s called Pesto.
Night night everyone ... sweet dreams 😴
