I've just been out to start tidying the big bed opposite the kitchen and found  ball of leaves underneath a collapsed Molinia. I gently moved some with my finger tips and found a wee Spikey , fast asleep. Gently put the grass stalks back on top of the ball and retreated.
    I love my wee Spikeys.
Holiday now officially cancelled so back to work next week for a wee while then off on "holiday" for 4 weeks in March.
    Devon.

    Morning all.
OH is taking me out to lunch in a lovely country pub/restaurant.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Love the “wee Spikey” story @Hostafan1 🤣

@Pat E littlest chicklet flies to Thailand at 6 oclock tomorrow morning your time, so she’ll miss the scorching temperatures (or at least she will swap them for Thai ones 🤣).

Decided its too cold and damp to go out and garden (4 degrees and foggy).  Going to noodle inside instead .....

    Awwww @Hostafan1 🦔

Glad you've got a holiday planned even if it’s not the one you were expecting 🏖

I’ve just had my first session of tennis since November. I managed a 20 minute game without collapsing with a coughing fit 👍

For one reason and another the buddleja in front of our sitting room window didn't get it's usual pre-winter cut back ... just recently its been full of blue tits queueing up for the nearby sunflowerheart feeder ... just now one of them sat on the windowsill and stared in at me for a couple of minutes ... a new spin on 'bird watching'  :D
He's out there again today, watching me ............ if it were a brighter day I might think he can see his reflection in the window, but it's the dullest of grey January days here ...
