I'm hoping after it's gone I won't feel like I've been kicked in the guts, so hopefully it's going be good all round.

It should make you feel a lot better, my aunt had hers out when she was in her 80’s. my daughter in law should have had hers out but she’s cured it herself. But that’s not easy. Sometimes something gets through in her diet but she’s got some very strong painkillers from the doctor so is managing it.

I could do with strong pain killers for my back at the moment.

The vet came for Hannah horse, he couldn't find anything except she's in season and she has arthritis in her spine. He thinks she has period pains. Didn't occur to me now she's retired. I knew she had trouble in the days I used to ride her. She's much better today though.

The vet helped me give the two old horses their worm medicine. I had put it off as I knew the old boy would be difficult. He was awful. Hasn't helped my back hanging on to him while the vet tried to squirt the wormer down his throat.

I can sympathise about your bad back @Busy-Lizzie. I decided to do some weeding today while it was dry and sunny. Only did about an hour but my back is twinging like mad now.

Glad I didn't have to cope with horses though!

  • @Pat E the fires are making headline news here at the moment but i'm sure we all wish they were not. They showed a map of OZ recently & it made it look like the whole coastline had fires somewhere. Even Tasmania has some and apparently the smoke is reaching as far as New Zealand. Lets hope you  all get some relief soon.

Just settling down ready for the final part of Dracula.

I’ve left OH downstairs with Dracula ... I enjoyed the first part, saw most of the second and some of the third. We’re recording it so I may see what I’ve missed later ... but I’m tired, so I’ve come to bed 😴

The fires are closing in on our village. I’m so glad we left early today for Canberra. I’m worried about my friends though. 😳
Ill let you know if there is further news. The prediction for strong winds is a big worry.
Not sure we’ll have a house to return to.

Hi @Pat E ((hugs)). I too am very glad you’re in Canberra. As my cousins can testify, houses can be replaced. I hope your friends have also moved to a safer area. You’re all in our thoughts ((hugs)).
