Glad youāre back home and safe @Pat E. Ā Hope it stays cooler for a while and the smoke starts to clear. Ā
Calls in the small wee hours are the worst @Dovefromabove ......rarely bring good news š³
Looking forward to my day of gardening today. Ā I have spent far too much time inside (a house or a car) this holiday .....will be good to get some fresh air and dirty hands šš»
Iāve received a very apologetic text from son. Itās not the first time heās āpocket-dialledā me when heās been working, but itās the first time in the middle of the night.Ā
We did get back to sleep after a while and fortunately neither of us is working or doing anything important today.Ā
Fingers are very crossed that the cooler conditions continue in Australia. š¤Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all.Ā So glad things are more calm for you @Pat E. Rubbish night last night, only about 3 hours sleep and I have to have a molar extraction at 9.30.
Hi everyone. I was even cold this afternoon and there has been some light rain. Not enough to effect fires, but atmosphere feels a bit better. Hubby is out on the fire truck again tomorrow. āBlacking outā Ā edges of smouldering roots etc. it seems that he canāt stay away. š”
Morning all. Glad Pat is cooler. I hope the molar is out now @Hostafan1 and you are recovering.
I had a rotten night too. Aching back, couldn't get comfy. Also the heating came on, which it doesn't usually but it was -6° outside. When it's very cold the heating makes a wailing noise, think it's the valves on the radiators.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Late on parade again here, I too had a bad night, awake at 5:30 could not get back for over an hour but eventually drifted off and woke with a start at nearly 9am. Very unusual for me don't often have trouble sleeping. I think like others have spent too much time indoors as it has been so damp all over Christmas. Took our decs & tree down yesterday too.Ā @Pat E so glad you & house are safe & you have some respite. Our news has reported some rain in places but all saying it's not enough, at least it might clean the air a little.
Back from the dentist. Extraction wasn't text book. It broke up a bit so there's still some left so has to be monitored. Might just heal over, might be "ejected" , we'll see.

22 sounds more like it Pat - I hope that makes a bit of a difference.
I could have done with an extra hour or two of sleep, but the morning is here and the week awaits. Have a decent day all.Ā

I've gone over 40 years without an extraction ,and I've had 3 in the last 3 months.
