As far as I know Dove, Perth is ok at this time.
We are still in the midst of worries, especially the hot north west winds expected tomorrow.  Not much break from the smoky fog, but hanging in there.
    Best wishes to Hosta’s hubby.

It is seriously wet here now and a bit blowy too.   Just the ticket for OH who is out playing golf.   I am safely tucked up indoors with fabric and pattern pieces all over the place.

Hope all goes well for hubby @Hostafan1.   Same for anyone else facing surgery or other medical procedures.

Not going to dance class this evening as I'm resting the knee to give the gel maximum opportunity to do its stuff.   Might just ask OH to light a cheering fire when he gets in.

As it's looking like we're having to cancel our holiday to The Gambia in March, we're thinking of a quick trip to Amsterdam, but using Eurostar and not flying.
    Any thoughts on that?

Book it well ahead and it should be OK but could otherwise be very pricey.

In my experience, Amsterdam is closed on Sundays and the wind whips in off the North Sea and is seriously cold.   Other than that, it's lovely.  If you went in late March or early April you could have a day out at Keukenhof............

We've been many times, but always flown, but it's such a kerfuffle now, getting to airport car park, bus to terminal, checking in, security, no liquids,  luggage charges, getting off and waiting for luggage, getting a train at Schiphol into town, and the same on the way back.  Thinking of getting to Exeter, train to London, change to St Pancras, train straight into Amsterdam Central.  Must be easier eh?

Or a ferry from Harwich or Hull?  With or without your car.

too far to drive. I'm looking for the least hassle. I reckon it'd be cheaper to pay someone to drop us at Exeter ( about an hour away ) and collect us than petrol to Harwich/ Hull and back.
I've really got he Devon syndrome of not wanting to go anywhere, lol
