This morning I helped OH to saw the bottoms off 2 doors in the kitchen, one was a cupboard. They were just too long because of the new kitchen floor and we were waiting for the paint to dry on the door surrounds before putting them back.

Then I swept and washed (with a spongy mop) the paving outside with an anti algae/moss product. I had already sprayed it but result wasn't that good. I rubbed the sodden mop over them. Must bring the pressure washer when we next come in the car. I have three in France, mine, OH's and the one a friend gave me when she moved back to England.

I went to the Dog's Trust this afternoon, wanted to see what is was like. Couldn't see the dog I'm sponsoring as he isn't trustworthy with people, too nervous. It was very smelly, almost enough to put me off if I were adopting a dog. There was one rather cute Border Terrier who would have been my first choice.

As he's not allowed to drive yet, I took Hubby to the builders' merchants so he could pick up some paint. I noticed a ok ish looking spade and asked how much it was , £19 " Do you want me to buy it for you?"  Bless'im.

    Bless ‘im indeed @Hostafan1  🥰

It must be the day for new tools ... @WonkyWomble has some on order.  I’ve suggested that she gets a mattock as she tends to use her spade and fork as a crowbar 😉

That's a good call, @Dovefromabove.  Mattocks are really useful - and @WonkyWomble can use the axe-like end to cut through underground roots, as well as the lever bit for removing rocks etc.   :)

Sorry folks - can't remember if I've been on here before, today... in case I haven't, Hello everyone...  we've been overrun with builders today, tramping through the house with their muddy boots, putting up plasterboard in the extension and preparing to put in the last window.  It's difficult to keep plaster dust out of the rooms we're using, especially with a rather nosey cat wanting to inspect the work...

Our builders put down rolls of fibrous something to make sure they didn't trample muck in, out and about.  Stopping plaster dust is well nigh impossible tho.  Gets everywhere and stays suspended in the air for ages so it still falls after they've all gone.   Worth all the bother tho if the result is what you're after.

Hi Dove. 😃 so, so, here. Blue sky instead of smoke fog, and warm day. We are waiting to see if conditions deteriorate or not. Just lots of looking out the windows and crossing fingers.

Glad to hear the blue sky is back @Pat E 💙

Very foggy here.  Off to a gym class in a bit, and then plan to spend the afternoon gardening 🥳🥳🥳
