Hello Forkers. A quick post to bring you some sad news.

I'm sure that many of you will remember Joyce from Ayrshire who used to be a regular contributor to the Forkers thread.

On Rezzers we've just heard that she was found dead in her home this morning. She was still active in her garden (although less so during the Scottish winter!) and her last posting was on Saturday when she'd had visitors for much of the day.

As someone who had the pleasure of meeting Joyce, I can tell you that she was as lovely in real life as she seemed on the forum and her garden was every bit as beautiful as it looked on the photos she posted.

She had a quick wit and was always generous with her advice and kind words. She will be sorely missed.

Oh dear I will miss Joyce.  She was indeed a lovely lady ... we had corresponded from time to time as she had requested a copy of my father’s memoirs and we’d ‘talked’ about things we had in common.  Thank you @Topbird for being the bearer of sad tidings. ((Hugs))

Oh what sad news, and so sudden, she used to post here quite often and I've seen some of her posts on Rezzers. Thank you for letting us know @Topbird

    Sad news about Joyce. Bless'er.
Busy day for me. Moved some rotted woodchip and when the dyno rod man came I helped him find the offending blocked manhole cover which someone had hidden under a gravel path. Flippin' thing was blocked up with flippin' baby wipes. Something never used in this end of the house so annexe is to blame .
No idea if they've been there since it was a holiday let or not. Hey ho, they've gone now, as indeed have our lovely neighbours who moved out today to a little house in town.
Hubby and I will redecorate it later in the week then look for replacements.

It is indeed.  Though a blessing she was enjoying life until the end.  RIP Joyce.

That is sad news.  I liked Joyce and her garden.   At least, as @Liriodendron says, it sounds like she was having fun and enjoying life to the end.

Busy day here but fun.   Knackered now tho so an early night.

Glad you go your blockage sorted @Hostafan1.  Shame about your U3A day @Dovefromabove.   Be careful that laurel doesn't sprout again @Busy-Lizzie.  In my experience they react to pruning by growing with a vengeance.

    Sweet dreams all.
