Chicky, she should be fine there. They are mostly worried about the inland suburbs, not the coastal ones. I’ll keep an eye out for you.

Evening all. I hope all weather-related difficulties are calming down.
I feel that the weekend has flown by - not sure why as been fairly quiet.
I hope everyone is doing ok.
    Anyone watching His Dark Materials??

Yes Aunty Rach, but only seen the first one so far. I wasn't sure at first, but OH loves it.

I probably won't have time to post tomorrow, I'm going to London to meet an old school friend for the day.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
i hope everyone’s had a restful night and that floods are continuing to recede.
We have drizzle here, but not a lot.

Chicky, have just watched the news and while things are worse in NSWand elsewhere, I think Chicklet will be ok where she is.  It’s more in surrounding areas such as the Bllue Mountains and similar places. I’ll keep watching.  Tomorrow’s “Southerly Buster” is going to make things very bad for fire fighters.

Thanks @Pat E 😀😀😀 Its very difficult to sort out the facts from the hype when you read the news reports over here.  @Obelixx your map is really useful too - I have it bookmarked 📚

Good day in the garden yesterday, cutting back some of the stuff that dies disgracefully, and will be of no benefit to bugs over winter 🕷  🐜.  Also gives some of my newer shrubs some space to breathe.

Today I am embarking on my next project ......operation “Paint the Spare Room” 👩🏼‍🎨

Morning all/afties Pat. Those fires are still hideous aren't they?
Wasn't on here much yesterday for various reasons.
I may have to resort to some painting and indoor jobs too @chicky. I have new blinds for the kitchen, so that's a possibility. Really not in the mood.
Hope @punkdoc and Moira are ok today, although the forecast is still vile.
I'll have a wee look round here after feeding the birds.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I started watching The Dublin Murders last night and 5 minutes in was sure I’d seen it before, I knew what each one was going to say and what was going to happen, then I realised it was a new series, brain in overdrive, then realised I’d read the book about 5 years go.  Thought I was going silly, (more than usual)😀

Good morning.    Wet here again since dawn but has stopped for a while.  There was a very spooky, hazy, almost full moon behind a curtain of misty cloud and no stars at all.  Might get a bit of sun later but not for long.   Rasta gets her haircut tomorrow.  Just debating whether or not she'll need a coat when she comes out.

Quiet day in store as it's a BH here.   Plenty of little jobs to keep me busy while OH sits and watches golf.  That means I haven't seen any news yet so I hope everyone with too much rain is managing to stay dry and safe and those desperately in need of rain get some soon.  Dreadful drought in SA too.
