Hi Dove. Yes, it’s hard to understand some people’s behaviour. Apparently they are now saying that there are more of the fires that were started by firebugs. Also on tonight’s news, the police are looking for two men who have been going around telling people to evacuate and then robbing the empty houses. (Shaking my head here)

@Pat E It never fails to surprise me the lows to which some will plunge.

Morning all/afties Pat. That news re the fires makes for grim reading. Just when you think the human race can't be more vile, someone manages to turn that round. What posesses these people? I'm not sure which ones are worse either - although the lying toerags might be easier to trace and punish.
Glad chicklet is ok @chicky. Hope you had a great day with friend - have you lost your 'cheep' today after all the nattering?  ;)
More frost here today - it was already frosty when I went to bed last night. Cloudy now, so I don't know quite what today will be.
I did a few things outside yesterday, but it was too cold for my ickle hands. Fine if I'd been doing shifting and digging, but I was repotting little twiddly things.
No taxi-ing today thankfully. Littlest fairylet's job is very awkward to get to as she still isn't driving, but she's enjoying it.

Morning Fairy. The other thing that is infuriating me is that the fire brigade has now admitted that a lot of the cancers (like hubby’s) seem to be connected to our volunteer firefighters inhaling smoke etc in the fires. They are generously offering to reimburse medicine expenditures. 😡  bah!

It's just horrible @Pat E, and the phrase 'too little too late' springs to mind   :(
In the midst of all the gloom surrounding many people, I don't know if anyone saw this in the news yesterday. I forgot to keep the story, but I found it elsewhere today

Not sure if this is really a smile @punkdoc, but have you seen they're organising a celebratory concert for Peter Green? Somehow - I think it'll be more about Mick Fleetwood, rather then the great man.  :/
I notice Slowhand isn't on the list of those taking part, but A.F.Low is as well as John Mayall. Great guitarists, both of them.

Saw that pigeon on another Oz firend's FB page @Dovefromabove.   Apart from anything else it's a good colour scheme, red and dove grey.

Dreadful that people set fries for fun @Pat E and yes, there was a astory on the Beeb news recently about the statistically significant numbers of fire fighters contracting disease from exposure to the chemicals in smoke from different kinds of fires.   Why they don't have masks is beyond me but I expect most would find them restrictive and take them off.

I rather think flood waters aren't too healthy but at least for those they can wear waders etc.   Saw an item on the news last night about rsidents affected by Yorkshire floods complaining they had no warning.  Really?  Do they not watch the news, hear or read about flood warnings on the weather reports?   Doesn't make the damage any less dreadful tho or the lack of organised help from local and regional authorities.

Hope you and hubby are doing well @Hostafan1 and anyone else suffering or recovering from major illness.
