    Hi all

Just been to local shops, lovely to witness everyone stopping for the 2 minute silence.
Raining heavily again, so another anxious couple of days.

Yes, good to see the silence observed. I realised that the local bus had waited 2 mins at the stop at the end of the road.

Thanks Steephill but my stupid knee means no beach walks at the mo.   Oddly enough this hasn't been mentioned by any of my local friends nor the ladies at patch who all enjoy beach walks - one of the reasons they're here.

I don't expect the French will turn it into a film like Whisky Galore.

Apparently the whole of the NEC stopped for the 2minute silence, must have been a good few thousand people there OH said.

We're too far from a beach to find anything - and I wouldn't know cocaine if I saw it!

    Evening.

I think that with all that’s going on in the country, and a (my) general feeling that people are a bit selfish, rubbish and generally unthoughtful, learning of all these 2 minutes silence efforts across the country is something quite special. My colleagues said they observed the silence in work on Sunday (on busy critical care and cardiac wards) and they were very moved by it. One patient cried afterwards as he was so impressed that the staff respected this event.

Maybe they should’ve left the ivy on it ... it was probably protecting  the old mortar from the wind and the rain and holding the wall up 🙄

Update for Chicky. There are fires around Hornsby and Turramurra (Sydney suburbs on the north west side). As you can imagine they are getting priority treatment. No worries about the eastern coastal areas, so. Chicklet should be fine. 😃

Terrible winds today. I stayed inside. 😡
