@Chicky - will the garden not provide enough exercise?

Never seem to get my heart rate up or out of breath in the garden - hence the cycling and swimming. Ā And the stretches we do in Pilates to keep me flexible would look pretty strange when combined with the weeding šŸ¤”

Already an hour late with the first NHS appt .....it’s going to be a long day. Ā More coffee ā˜•ļø required methinks 😳

Soggy morning here now rounded off with thunder and lightning rattling the windows. Hadn't expected the latter.

Indeed @Dovefromabove. Cruachan is reasonably straightforward , but the adjoining ridge across has a few techy/tricky patches. I think she probably fell down the 'other side', and not the reservoir side - although it's steep too. Not really a suitable walk for youngsters either, unless they're experiencedĀ  :/

    Afternoon all.Ā
Back from deliveries early so had a stint on the tills. Nice to see some familiar faces and even nicer to be told that I've been missed. Bless'em.

@Chicky I meant the gym part, not Pilates.Ā  When Chicklet is at Uluru tell her to go and see the Olgas and do the starlight dinner with astronomy and Aboriginal Creation stories.Ā  Excellent evening.Ā  Plenty of things to see touring round the rock too without actually climbing it.Ā  We did a hot air ballon ride from Alice Springs too.

@Hosta - Sounds like a good change but could you cope with a till all day?

@Dovefromabove - when it's on, our heating doesn't come on at night either between midnight and 6am and then we have thermostats on all the rads so they only come on in rooms we're using and cooler in bedrooms.

@Fairygirl it does look like a daft day out for youngsters and fancy not charging your phone before heading out!Ā  Ā Well done that boy and the rescue teams.

We have had a clever day out.Ā  Rain all the way to Les Sables and while we did the market then quiet drizzle as we parked near the port to go and have lunch and baking, coats off sunshine for a stroll along the front after lunch.Ā  P*issing down again when we came out of the SM and all the way home.Ā  That blip of a cold was just kidding and is back with a vengeance.Ā  Both of us snuffling and sneezing now.Ā  Humph.

@Obelixx, god no. I'd be either suicidal, or ready to kills someone if I had to do a whole "shift" on the tills.

Evening folks. Sorry you have your lurgy back @Obelixx. Oldest fairylet is the same, although she likes to milk it a bitĀ  ;)
Re the hill rescue - I don't think people realise it's winter conditions now on Munros. She's bl***y lucky the kid was more able, and prepared, than the husbandĀ  :/
Smirry stuff this morning gave way to a downpour,Ā  then cleared up. We didnt get @steephill's thunder though. Chilly now and clear skies. Frost for tonight apparently. Heating is onĀ  ;)
Nice that people were pleased to see you @Hostafan1 :)
Our heating/thermostat is set at about 13 for overnight, especially when we are only putting it on now and again manually. Even then it often comes on. I've had it on the auto settings for the last couple of weeks, albeit rejigged as I don't have to get up for work. I put it on manually for a while when it's needed.Ā

    Evening.
I don’t think I’ve ever had the heating on all night, but I have got a leccy blanket. Our current system lets us heat individual rooms, which is very handy - especially the bit where you can command them to turn on, via an app, so they ready when you get home etc.Ā
Hope you’ve all had a good day. My course was good. Bit of drama at the end as a colleague took my phone by mistake so I had to pull off a military-style mission to locate it involving people emptying bags, me trying to remember people’s numbers (including my own!) and the daughter of the found ā€˜culprit’ having to do a detour in rush hour to meet me. What a faff!Ā

Oh dear @AuntyRach , you could probably have done without that at the end of a busy day.Ā  I've just found out that if I lean out of the loft window, I can get 4 bars of mobile signal so can send a message - downstairs it's only 1 or nothing!
