Morning. It’s NOT raining!!! I can’t believe my eyes. I’ll try to pick the last of the cooking apples today if 1. There are any left after the heavy rain and 2. If I can stand on the grass without it turning to mud.

    Have a good day all.Ā

I’ve just started my first batch of yoghurt in my new yoghurt maker. I used to make a lot when we had the small holding and kept dairy goats, but I’ve not done it for years ... quite excited to see how this turns out. The plan is for Greek style yoghurt.Ā

Nice @Dovefromabove. I used it frequently for all sorts of things, but less now beacuse of fairylet's 'cow' issueĀ  :D
Which variety @AuntyRach? When I bought my little apple trees, they were meant to be Bramleys, but they turned out be eaters. The idea was to have some for pies etc, and the aforementioned fairylet used to eat the bits that weren't used.Ā  ;)

You can make your own yog Ā with coconut milk etc @Fairygirl 😊 I’ve not tried but the Lakeland ā€˜machine’ I’ve got comes with full instructions.Ā

To be honest - I didn't use it a lot, and we use almond or coconut milk for some things. It's mainly in sauces that I use yogurt, and we havent had as many of those recently.
It's really the meat she has more problems with than the 'juice'.Ā  Ā  :D

She wasn't too worried about stuffing her wee face with Magnums in summer eitherĀ  ;)

A customer once made me tea and used oat milk. It tasted like some weird tea/porridge hybrid, and not in a good way.

Fairylet has decided it's only the almond or soya one for her when she has a coffee. They taste odd otherwise. I think some of her skin reactions were also down to stress, which I won't go into here. She's been a lot better since the end of January, when we left workĀ  ;) Ā
I see oat milk being promoted by vegans etc, but I don't think I'll be trying it any time soonĀ  :D

Has Fairylet asked her GP to run some food allergy tests?Ā

She's a bit wary of that @Hostafan1. I know - I've suggested it, but we did a wee trial ourselves, and it's coo meat that she responds badly to - severe cramps etc, so we've eliminated it pretty much from her diet. She did succumb recently, having not eaten it for a very long time - and it was a bit painful.Ā
Nothing else is a problem at all. The milk thing just makes her spotty, but she's much happier [new job] so I think that had a lot to do with it.Ā
I could really go a big fat burger though.... ;)

Treat yourself while she's at work and then walk it off @Fairygirl.Ā  Just make sure it's proper beef and not high volume, low quality McD crap.Ā  Ā Lots of health problems are stress related so I hope Fairylet continues to improve and her new job helps boost her morale and confidence.

I'm happy to replace flour with ground almonds and/or cornmeal and/or oats for gluten free people but I don't like neat milk or take it in tea or coffee, just hot chocolate so am not getting into funny milk except coconut for Thai dishes.
