Morning all/afties Pat if you're looking in. A quieter day for you I hope  :)
A horrible day for you @Allotment Boy. Fingers crossed today is much better.
That is indeed - my granny's house @chicky. Lovely pic  ;)
No cranes here either, but I see herons regularly too. Such weird looking birds when they fly  :)
Freezy weezy again this morning. At least I have no car scraping these days. Minus 2 at the mo and the birds have got their warmed up and wet mealworms. Yum.
There looks to be a good amount of 'scary cake' brought home. That's lunch sorted.
I seem to have caught @Obelixx's lurgy. Been coughing for ages.

    Morning all 😀

Glad the granddaughters are making you feel at home @Liriodendron 👧🏼👧🏼  It’ll be lovely being able to see more of them.  Have you tried the library for printing docs?  Ours does it.

Busy day today.....gym this morning, then taking my niece for lunch as it was her birthday yesterday, then a trip into Basingstoke to see if there is anything they can do to rescue my old phone from being consigned to the scrap heap 😲.

    Then Bake-off final tonight 🥐🍰🎂🧁🥧🥮🥟

    Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah for bake off.

Today would have been my late Father's 100th birthday.

Oh - I meant to say hello to Liri. Hand waving.... :)
I'd echo the library too - I did exactly that when our printer wasn't working.
Who do you think is going to win @chicky?

Sympathies to the lurgy-afflicted ☕️😷 Hope you’re all feeling better soon.

I must’ve missed the latest Bake-off 🙄 ... I’ll have to catch up today. I’ll watch when the man is here to repair my oven this afternoon.

Good morning.   It looks grey and mis here but not actually wet yet.  Hope your lurgy isn't too bad @Fairygirl.  Day 7 here and the head feeling solid but wooly at the same time phase and just a bit of coughing.  Almost done.

Gorgeous toadstool @Chicky.  Never seen one looking that smart.

There's a nature reserve near here and on the edge of the Marais Poitevin which sees all sorts of birds flying in from Scandinavia and the Artcic for winter including cranes.  I'm hoping to make sure we spend a few late afternoons spying on them from the hide this autumn and winter - once the sun comes out again.

I've got a bit irritated with Bake Off this year.  Far too much style over substance.  I want bakes - savoury or sweet - that taste great and look appetising.  All that fancy icing and sugar work is becoming a real turn off for me and I loathe Genoese sponge, fondant icing and garishly coloured food in equal measure.

Oops - forgot to say it's good to know you're happy there @Liriodendron.  Everything will soon get sorted out.

Have a good day everyone, indoors or out.
