Evening. Just settling down for Strictly and home-made stew šŸ˜‹ Haven’t done a cake as well though (Star baker to Dove).Ā
Re honey, I really want to like it - natural, sweet, made with botanicals but... I just don’t like it. 🤢
    Hope you all doing ok.Ā

I made cakes earlier. Fairy cakes, of courseĀ  ;)
Honey gives me the 'dry boak', as we say here @AuntyRach :D

I've done sweet FA apart from that though. Been slightly sleep deprived in the last few days though.
    Does watching the birds count?

If the forecast anywhere near accurate, the birds will be needing brollies and bungees for the next couple of daysĀ  ;)

At least one of the cages has a waterproof roof so they can have breakfast and keep dry in thereĀ  ;)

@Fairygirl I bought a cordless hedge trimmer.Ā  Just a small one.Ā  I've done the pittosporum and the box balls and they look nice and neat now for the winter.Ā  The clippers did a good job.

On our way home from London, tired and happy. Ā Alfie Boe, Michael Ball and Matt Lucas were phenomenal.....spine tingling stuff. Ā

Feeling fat and full here after a good day messingabout and then a good house movingĀ  anniversary dinner.Ā  Ā

We now have a William Bon ChrĆ©tien to cross pollinate our Beurre Hardy and one of @Nollie's smelly eleagnus to fill a gap in our mixed hedge and a tray of violas from a nursery doing a special autumn open day so what should have cost 45€70 only cost 31€.Ā  Ā After that a GC with 20% off an article of our choice so that went on a 40m seep hose for the PT and then they also did it on a 20m seep hose for my dahlia/cut flowers bed and some bulbs.

Bit of disappointment at the DIY store which has stopped doing Dulux paint and now only has French brands so I can't match the terracotta on one wall of my kitchen so I can warm up the one next to it after deciding the pale terracotta was wimpy.Ā Ā

Dinner was scallops on a bed of softened leeks, medieval style salmon en croute and chocolate fondants.Ā  Delish.

Watching Strictly now.Ā  Some horrors tonight but some glorious dancing too.

    Your dinner sounds yummy, Obelixx.

I like honey, but I prefer marmalade.

I arrived back in France this afternoon -OH, but he'll come for a few days on Thursday between physio sessions. Ryanair had cheap tickets.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
