I went to homebase yesterday and they had various 2 ltr perennials for £1. Some were very dry so you take a chance they are still alive but for a pound it's not much of a gamble.

    Hi all

Off shopping this morning as I managed to break a tine off my fork whilst digging up Cannas. May look for a few cheeky bargains as well.

Really don't like the way the fire brigade chief has been targeted, rather than the real culprits.
How many canna have you got

She might be knowledgeable but she's nasty with it. Some clever people out there are very smart and knowledgeable but they are nasty and uncouth.

@punkdoc- I said to the girls at work, a year ago at least, the fire brigade are going to be made the scapegoats for that  :(
Did you get many dug up before the breakage?

    Good morning @punkdoc ... happy shopping 🛒
Re the Grenfell Enquiry ... l think it’s a shame that the first part of the enquiry is being pulled over and dissected before the second part had been held and conclusions drawn. Did you hear the R4 discussion this morning between one of the firemen there on the night and a chap who lost a disabled family member because he did as he was told and stayed out waiting for rescue that never came. Very moving.
And speaking of R4 this morning, very interesting item on David Nott and a young Syrian doctor.

Things were going quite well thanks, @Fairygirl. I think the damp soil was helping.
Should keep me out of trouble for a few more days yet.

David Walliams and Matt Lucas for one night only ... Little Br###t ... should raise a wry smile or three.

Agree @Dovefromabove. Problem is that the fire brigade will continue to be blamed, even though we all know that the real culprits are elsewhere.

    Morning all.
That's a very scary cake @Fairygirl, looks nothing like one.  :o Are you sure it's a cake?

It's been raining so I'm glad I did the mowing yesterday. Had planned to clear leaves with the leaf sucking thing but at the moment it's too wet. But there is ironing and housework to do.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
